Justin Lawson

Special Education Teacher

My name is Justin Lawson, and I am originally from Massachusetts, where I have lived for most of my life. I attended the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

Outside of education, some of my hobbies include writing, reading, and traveling, both locally and internationally. I enjoy learning about different cultures, exploring new places, and, most importantly, getting to know new people and hearing their stories.

For the past seven years, I taught Business in the Boston Public Schools (BPS). During my time in BPS, I was also fortunate to serve as an assistant basketball coach and the head soccer coach. These experiences allowed me to build meaningful relationships with students while helping them grow both inside and outside the classroom.

As I begin this next chapter, I am excited to join the New Liberty Innovation High School community in Salem. I look forward to immersing myself in the school community, building strong relationships with students and colleagues, and contributing to the greatness that is already present at New Liberty.

I am excited for the journey ahead and look forward to becoming a proud member of the New Liberty family!
