Janea Duby was born in Vermont but was raised living the dream in Salem. A graduate of Salem State, earning her Bachelors of Science in Biology is one of her proudest accomplishments. Inspired by three incredible years in special education, Janea is enthusiastic about spreading love and knowledge one educational journey at a time. She is passionate about empowering students and making a positive impact in their lives. Embracing diversity, spreading kindness, and fostering inclusive learning environments, Janea is certified in Foundations for Inclusive Practices and Crisis Prevention and Intervention. 

An adventure-seeking soul, Janea spent most of her childhood exploring the world with her family finding particular interest in the conservation of Rainforests and the Oceans of the world. Diving head first into the realm of underwater wonders, she spends some time exploring the depths with her NAUI SCUBA certification. A spirited Women in Science member, she hopes to be the voice for driving change and equity for all women in science by creating a safe, supportive community for women scientists. Devoted to empowering young minds through education, Janea is on a journey to obtain her teaching license and master the art of making a difference in classrooms.
