Holly O’Leary
(She/Her/Hers )Academic Coach
The most important thing to know about Holly is that she is a lifelong learner and loves teaching at New Liberty Innovation High School! The journey that brought her to New Liberty is as wild as the animals in Alaska where she was born and raised.
Having been raised in a small town in Alaska, has given her the roots for her love of the beauty found in nature and learning about the diversity that makes up our world. Over the years she has started after school programs, taught upper elementary, stayed home for a decade raising her two sons (now adults) substitute teacher, tutored in programs supporting teenagers struggling with mental health issues, then landed at New Liberty! A grand total of 17 years in education in a variety of roles and many learning experiences.
Holly has been at New Liberty for 11 years and wears many hats; teacher, instructional coach and a member of the leadership team. Holly recently completed her CAGS from Salem State University. Currently she has the privilege to work with students supporting them directly on their path to graduation and to help personalize their learning experiences. Holly is incredibly passionate about finding ways to be innovative and rethink the high school experience to serve all students! Her hope is to help develop an educational model at New Liberty that transforms the high school experience for students.
