Science Teacher

Che Lomonte-Gardiner has a background in biology, marine science, higher education, and hands-on laboratory learning. They grew up on Long Island, NY and attended Coastal Carolina University, where they got their BS in Animal Behavior & Ethology. They recently graduated from Harvard University earning their Master’s degree in Biology.

Che is passionate about making science accessible and helping students recognize their own potential as scientists and problem-solvers. With experience building and teaching science programs, they enjoy creating opportunities for students to connect what they learn in the classroom to the world around them. Che is excited to be part of the New Liberty team and to help students prepare for life beyond high school.

Outside the classroom, Che enjoys a good beach day and spending time outdoors with their wife, son, two dogs, and their cat, who firmly believes he is also a dog.
