Upward and onward: The Class of 2025

The New Liberty Innovation School celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2025 Wednesday, June 4 at the Peabody Essex Museum.

Leena Burae

Leena will attend North Shore Community College this fall to pursue an associates degree in health sciences, with the goal of transferring to a state college or university to obtain her bachelor’s degree in the STEM field.  Leena is an academically strong student, and has received a scholarship to support her post graduation studies. In addition to her love for the sciences, Leena has successfully completed an internship with the Peabody Essex Museum.   Congratulations Leena!  

Jasmin Correa

Jasmin is excited to graduate from New Liberty Innovation School and to immediately enter the workforce. Having been accepted to North Shore Community College, Jasmin has several interests, opportunities and other job training programs. She is interested in creating various types of art and learning about the connection to science, and is passionate about identifying a career path connected to her strengths and passions. Congratulations Jasmin!

Elyanna Diogo

With aspirations for a career in forensic science, Elyanna Diogo will attend Gloucester Biotechnology Academy, a biotechnology certificate program offered by the Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute. In addition to her love for science and laboratory work, Elyanna interned with the 21c After School Program at Witchcraft Heights Elementary School. Congratulations Elyanna!

Antonio Justo

With a passion for linguistics, Antonio Justo will attend Bridgewater State University in September to major in Global Languages and Literature. Antonio is also a recipient of the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship for outstanding scores on MCAS. In addition to his love of language, Antonio works really well with animals and interned at All Creatures Veterinary Hospital throughout the school year. Congratulations Antonio!

Kyra Lynne Walker

Already a certified lash technician, Kyra Lynne Walker will attend Juvenex Academy in Beverly to further her education and training in the esthetics industry. In addition to her passion for esthetics, Kyra is also pursuing her early education and care certification to become a certified teacher in a licensed child care program. Kyra has been working with Run-A-Muck Child Care Center for the past year and hopes to continue while attending school.  Congratulations to Kyra!

Nestor Castillo

Nestor Castillo will attend North Shore Community College this fall to pursue both STEM and Business Administration. With the goal to become an entrepreneur and run a successful business one day, Nestor will be the first in his family to attend college and has received several scholarships to support his post graduate studies.  In addition to high school success, Nestor has been interning with Salem Main Streets, developing and implementing several events throughout Salem and building his network.   Congratulations Nestor!

Shainell Gomez Baez

The first in her family to attend college, Shainell Gomez Baez will attend North Shore Community College this fall to pursue an associates degree in education. Shainell enjoys working with children and hopes to continue on this pathway. Throughout her senior year, Shainell has been interning with the Bentley Academy Innovation School Dual Language Pre-K after-school program which sparked her passion for education. Congratulations Shainell!
